Philippe Nigro

Born in 1975 in Nice, France.

Lives and Works in Italy and in France.

 

Did studies of art & design in France. First in Antibes (Bac F12 1993), then industrial design in Lyon (BTS 1995) and superior studies in product and furniture design in Paris (DSAA 1997)

 

Since 1999 is a free lance designer and collaborator of the studio De Lucchi in Milan,

where develops projects for Italians and international editors.

In these years develop a knowledge allowing to investigate diverse aspects of the design: product design, furniture, interior.

Develop also his own projects: Stand for Nava Design (with M.Canali). Sofa Tune, Vertigo, Vega for Nube Italia. Low chair Twist for Felicerossi. The Time printer for Opos. For Sintesi did the “Table-Able”. Won the 2nd price for « Autogrill /Spirito di Stella » (with M. Biffi).

Since 2005 thanks to the French VIA Grants, did the shelf “Spiral”, the storage module “Cross-Unit” (2007) now edited by Sintesi, the sofa “Intersection” (2008).

Next to come projects are a Ligne Roset version of the “Intersection” sofa family, the “Twin-Chair” and “Tréteau” (Via grants 09), they will be presented at the next furniture fairs in Paris and Cologne (January 2009).
